About Chelsea & The Good Stuff Bake Shop

Hi, I’m Chelsea-a mom of six, professional micro-bakery owner, photographer, and the creator of The Good Stuff Bake Shop.

I help busy families bridge the gap between “healthy” and “realistic.” If you want to feed your kids better without losing your mind, you’re in the right place.

Professional Baker. Busy Mom. Real Food.

I’m not just a recipe developer; I’m a professional baker. I own and operate a local micro-bakery where I obsess over sourdough and clean-label treats. While I run my physical business locally, this website is my digital home for education and recipes. Think of this as your “backstage pass” to a professional kitchen-adapted for real life.

Why “The Good Stuff” Matters

Ten years ago, one of my children faced health challenges that changed everything. I stopped looking at calories and started looking at chemicals. I realized how many food dyes, processed additives, and fillers were hiding in our pantry.

I spent the next decade relearning how to cook and bake with real, wholesome ingredients. This blog grew out of that journey-sharing the “Better Than” approach that changed our lives.

My Philosophy: Balance, Not Perfection

At our house, we don’t do “perfect.” We do “Better Than.” If a snack is better than the ultra-processed version we grew up on, it’s a win.

What you’ll find here:

  • Bakery-Standard Recipes: Professional-grade breads and treats simplified for home.
  • The Simple Swap: Easy ways to upgrade your pantry and kitchen, without feeling like you’re missing out!
  • Family-Tested Meals: If my family doesn’t approve, it doesn’t make the blog!

Life in the Chaos

When the oven is off, I’m usually camping, playing cards, or cheering at my kids’ games. I’ve been happily married for 19 years, and our home is loud, busy, and full of laughter.

Note: While I share my professional recipes here, I do not take bakery orders through this website. This is an informational space for recipes and tips!
